1st Yetminster Beaver Colony

Yetminster Beavers has a strong Colony of young people and meet weekly on a Wednesday evening during term time from 6 pm to 7pm at the Scout Hut.

Beavers is open to all young people between the ages of 6 – 8 years of age.  The Beavers enjoy taking part in a wide range of activities that include team games, team challenges, cooking, climbing to name a few.

The young people represent the local community taking part in parades across the District, District trips, camps, and events. For some of them they have their first opportunity to camp indoors or outdoors for the first time on their own.

The activities and challenges the Beavers take part in all go towards badges and the Colony will learn many life skills that will help them throughout their time in Scouting and beyond.

The Beavers spend a great deal of time during the summer months outside exploring Yetminster and neighbouring villages during hikes and other activities.  The group also learn the basic skills of camping, putting up tents and learning camping skills.

All sessions are run by a fantastic team of adult volunteers you will be kept fully informed by them of the weekly programme via a simple online Parent Portal App.
