Our MP Chris Loder’s tribute to HM the Queen:

Flowers are always welcome at St Andrew’s so if you wish to leave some in memory of our late beloved Queen, please do so.

Compline: our short, peaceful, lay-lead evening prayer takes place in church here each Monday evening at 6pm.  All are welcome.

Other Benefice services on 18th September will be held at:

Bradford Abbas, St Mary the Virgin  10am

Chetnole, St Peter  11.30am

Glanvilles Wootton, St Mary the Virgin  6pm

Hermitage,  St Mary the Virgin  10am

Holwell, St Laurence  6.30pm

Leigh, St Andrew’s  10am

Ryme Intrinseca,  St Hippolytus  08.30

Church Street Closure:  Wessex water will be  laying new pipes along Church Street for the next 5 weeks.  They have confirmed that there will  be access to the Health Centre, the Jubilee Hall and St Andrew’s Church.  This will cause some disruption however, so be prepared!

Save our Clock:  We have reached 37% of our target which is fantastic, so please keep it going!  All donations are welcome however small (or large!) including some very generous donations from £5 to £500, however we still need to raise another 63% so please have a look at the history of our wonderful clock on the link below:

Ride and Stride: many thanks and well done  to all our riders and striders, and to the team manning the church who welcomed some 35 visitors.  DHCT returns half of the funds raised to our church. You can still donate to Team Yetminster on

Looking ahead:

Our Harvest Sunday Family Service will take place on Sunday 2nd October at 11.30am.  All are most welcome, and there will be a bring and share lunch in the Jubilee Hall afterwards.  Please bring your own main course, with some  extra to share, and the puds will be made by the Friends of St Andrew’s!

With my best wishes Clare
