Churchyard Autumn clear up!

Huge thanks go to Team Churchyard, who made a truly magnificent morning’s work, tidying, strimming, mowing, raking, and weeding.  It was a great effort and hard work, so do come along and admire their handiwork!  We are very lucky to have such lovely folk in the village who give their time so willingly.

Looking Back….. very grateful  thanks go to our four intrepid riders and striders, Alex, Simon, George with Caleb,  and Lucy, who at the time  of writing have so far raised £1,051  for the Dorset Historic Churches Trust.  Half of this will come back to St Andrews in due course, so if you haven’t yet sponsored them, you can still do so on

Looking Forward to…..

A Tea Party in Leigh Village Hall in aid of Save the Children/Afghanistan Crisis, on Wednesday 20th October from 3pm to 4.30pm.  Raffle, bring and buy, and delicious home made cakes.  Donations welcome to this very good cause.

The Mother’s Union Coffee morning with Bring and Buy will take place again on Saturday 27 th November from 10.30- midday, at the Methodist Chapel.  If you are new to the village, do come along to this very popular morning.

Our Christmas Carol Service will be held on Sunday 12th December at  4.30pm.   After the Carols, we are planning refreshments in the Hall, with mince pies.  This is traditionally when we welcome all new arrivals to  the village, so please do encourage your new neighbours to come along!  Hopefully the school children will be taking part again this year.
